There are many things you can do on your bachelor party in the High Country. With Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Wilkesboro, and Johnson City, there are plenty of things to do.

If you’re considering having your bachelorette party in the high Country, check these out!

Here are three things you can do in each city:

Boone

1. High Gravity Adventures Zip Line & Aerial Park

Take a zip through the mountains, walk the adventure park, or defy gravity on the large swing. These adventures will bond you to your groomsmen before the wedding!

2. Cobo Sushi Bistro & Bar

For out-of-this-world-sushi, you have to check out Cobo. It’s a really chill atmosphere for chowing down and drinking a brew with your guys. Their simple rolls are tasty, but if you want something a little more robust, the Appalachian or Stormy roll are just what you need.

3. Booneshine Brewing Company

This is a recent restaurant built in July, 2019. They serve house-brewed beer that rivals Asheville’s taste and atmosphere. Upstairs is a lounge for you and your buddies to hang and chat. There’s also a place to hang out by the fire outside during fall.  And don’t forget to get a pretzel with beer cheese!

Blowing Rock

1. The Blowing Rock

There are short trails, picnic areas, and a vast overlook. It costs $9 to enter the park. But once you’re in, you can get back in the same day at no charge.

2. Moses H Cone Memorial Park

With over 20 miles of walking and hiking trails, you and your buddies can certainly spend all day here. Walk up the path on the Firetower trail to get a great view of the local mountains.

3. Foggy Rock Eatery & Pub

Grab dinner here after a long day in Blowing Rock. With brews and tasty dishes, you can fuel up for another day.

Banner Elk

1. Otter Falls Trail

It’s a short walk (less than a mile) to the waterfall. You and your buddies can take in the sights and smells of nature in this park. Soak in Mother Nature in the Seven Devils of North Carolina.

2. Apple Hill Farm – Alpaca Farm

A little uncanny, but definitely worth a visit. Hangout with alpacas and lots of other animals on this farm. Get a souvenir to go as well. Pay for a self-guided or professionally guided tour of the animals. Tours usually take 45-60 minutes.

3. High Mountain Expeditions

Whitewater rafting, river tubing, canoeing, kayaking, caving, and hiking all happen at this adventure area. Tube or canoe down the New River with your guys. Have endless fun!

Wilkesboro

1. Copper Barrel Distillery

Take a tour and sample some local moonshine. Flavors like black cherry, blueberry, red cherry, strawberry, and white lightning — all worth a try!

2. Wilkes Heritage Museum

If you need to escape the outdoors because it’s too hot, bad weather, or you just need a break, this museum is a place to settle for an hour or so.

Originally established in 1968 with the intent of restoring the Old Wilkes County Jail to its original 1860 appearance and operating it as an educational center for the community.

3. Cub Creek Park

If you and your groomsmen are more into chill times, then you can fishing, hike trails, eat at the designated areas, and bike.

Johnson City

1. The Art of Escape

Put your expertise to the test by working together to get out of this locked room.

Players must solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand.  Players are given 60 minutes to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the room.

2. Just Jump Trampoline Park

Jump on huge trampolines and play games like dodgeball and basketball. Assert your dominance over the gladiator pit.

3. Label Restaurant
